Our mission is to deliver an equitable educational experience for scholars. Through experiential learning, restorative practices, and personal development, scholars are prepared to compete academically, contribute socially, and choose their pathways to college and career. Intellectus Prep seeks to provide another high-quality educational option where there are not enough. At Intellectus Prep, our Maintenance for this role, should be able to manage various tasks on a daily basis to ensure our operations run smoothly. We are looking for a responsible custodian to maintain and protect our facilities. The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants' totality. It is important for our Custodian to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises. This position requires working in shifts, occasionally on weekends or evenings. Applicants must enjoy working in a school setting and provide a positive and uplifting experience. Responsibilities and skills will include but are not limited to: Ability to do repairs (plumbing, electrical, drywall) as needed throughout the building Ability to properly hang, install, recommend and operate machinery Assist with incoming and outgoing deliveries Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc) Ensure building entrance and exit (back building) is free of clutter at all times Report damages to management of occurring deficiencies and monitor repairs and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities Maintain inventory & stock of cleaning supplies checklist and storing ingredients. Comply with health and safety regulations and sanitary cleaning procedures Follow evacuation rules in case of emergency Ensuring common areas are clean, hygienic and functional. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and stored appropriately. Cleaning, disinfecting surfaces, storage and sanitizing during and after service. Removal of all garbage during and ending of school hours. Adhere to environmental safety standards and training updates for Covid cleaning process & procedures.
