Job Description

The Christian Village Communities is a faith retirement community. Our mission is to guide older adults to joyful and purposeful life experiences in a faith-filled community. The General Maintenance position is responsible for maintaining various aspects of the Healthcare facility's general maintenance requirements under supervisors direction. We are looking for someone with excellent customer service, enjoys working with senior adults, personable and outgoing. Day shift position includes room flips, light electrical, plumbing, painting, manage contractors, daily work orders and assisting team members. We are currently looking for someone to join our team full time 1st shift Sunday through Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm (hours are flexible).
Essential Job Duties:
1. Performs general maintenance duties, such as: fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs. 2. Performs painting and refurbishing projects, as directed by supervisor 3. Performs routine preventive maintenance, as directed by supervisor 4. Performs minor building and equipment repairs 5. Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor 6. Assists during winter with snow removal efforts 7. Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition 8. When qualified, provides assistance with work on the heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems, refrigeration systems, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems and emergency generators
Qualifications:
1. High school education or GED preferred 2. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic 3. One to three years of similar general Maintenance experience is preferred EOE.
