Job Description
Job Summary Safe Staffing is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician/Maintenance Helper About the positions: Level 1 Experience $25/hour and up All technicians are required to observe good housekeeping practices at all times. Proper use and care of basic shop tools, example; grinders, saws, drills, bearing press etc. this includes replacing all tools after use. Safe and proper use of acetylene torch for cutting / heating. Basic plumbing techniques, (soldering pipes, cutting / gluing PVC etc.). Demonstrated ability to replace basic component parts on equipment, such as; valves, bearings, filters, V-belts, etc.) Basic building maintenance example: painting, cleaning, building repairs. Wire belt and plastic conveyor repairs. Working knowledge of chain / sprocket and belt / pulley also flex and rigid coupling type drives, includes ability to break and splice various types of chain. Level 2 Experience $29/hour and up Basic welding techniques, example; stick, mig , tig, and soldering etc. Basic fabrication skills using stainless steel, (welding, cutting, grinding etc). Demonstrated basic electrical skills in 480 v. 3Æ a.c. power Ability to replace mechanical seals and bearings in a variety of centrifugal pumps. Basic knowledge of air compressors, and compressed air systems and dryers. Familiarity with vacuum pumps. Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems, components and controls. Ability to correctly diagnose, repair or replace gear drives / gear motor assemblies.
