Job Description

Seasonal - through October SUMMARY Under supervision duties will include a wide range of daily golf course maintenance duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Attentive, alert, on time, properly attired, and ready to receive instruction promptly at beginning of shift. At the end of shift, complete daily log sheet to include Daily Standards and break log check off. Operates some equipment used in course maintenance.
Mowers:
fairway, tee.
Small machinery:
string trimmer, fly mow, backpack blower.
Involved in course detail tasks:
weed and debris clean-up, poa eradication, etc.
Chemical applications:
hose handler.
Maintains equipment fluid levels:
gasoline or diesel, oil, etc. (throughout the day). Reports equipment problems/failures to the mechanic immediately and completes correct paperwork. Perform daily equipment repair and maintenance as directed by Head Mechanic. Ensures that all equipment used is washed properly, returned to designated location and charging if applicable.
Performs bunker maintenance:
operation of mechanical rake. Planting and maintenance of vegetative material. Transporting material. Hand water plant material. Maintain proper radio etiquette and return radios to chargers when finished. Available for overtime as needed. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. Regular and reliable attendance. Maintains a professional standard at Juniper Preserve including, but not limited to, appearance, interaction with members, associates, guests of the club, verbal discussions and written correspondence. Does not discuss work related issues with members and resort guests. Supports and adheres to the CORE Values (ie. "The T.R.I.P.") Service Fundamentals, and Guest Service Philosophy as defined by the company. Maintains positive attitude and the flexibility to take on new and different tasks as assigned by the Director of Agronomy, Golf Course Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Head Mechanic, Assistant Mechanic or Foreman.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Basic physical abilities to perform duties as required.

Primarily outdoor shifts.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
