Parks & Cemetery Maintenance Worker I Location Redmond, OR Job Type Seasonal Temporary Position (Approximately 3 Months) Pay $23.20 per hour Schedule Monday-Friday | 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Position Overview Express Employment Professionals is partnering with the City of Redmond to hire a Parks & Cemetery Maintenance Worker I to support the maintenance and upkeep of city parks, cemetery grounds, landscaping, irrigation systems, playgrounds, and public facilities. This is an excellent seasonal opportunity for individuals who enjoy outdoor work, grounds maintenance, landscaping, equipment operation, and facilities maintenance while contributing to the appearance and functionality of the City of Redmond's community spaces. Responsibilities Maintain parks, landscaped areas, cemetery grounds, playgrounds, and public spaces Perform landscaping and grounds maintenance activities Inspect, maintain, and assist with irrigation system operation and repairs Perform basic facilities maintenance, including painting, plumbing, and general repairs Operate city vehicles and equipment, including trucks, mowers, and backhoes Assist with maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of city-owned properties Follow established safety procedures and operating guidelines Support daily maintenance projects and departmental operations as assigned ✅ Key Requirements High school diploma or GED Minimum of 12 months of relevant experience Valid Oregon driver's license Comfortable operating and driving City of Redmond vehicles Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and machinery Ability to follow safety procedures, policies, and established work practices Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Background Candidates with experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply: Parks Maintenance Grounds Maintenance Landscaping Cemetery Maintenance Irrigation Maintenance Facilities Maintenance Public Works Construction Labor Equipment Operation Property Maintenance Municipal Maintenance Outdoor Maintenance Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who: Enjoys working outdoors in a variety of conditions Takes pride in maintaining community spaces Has experience operating equipment and vehicles safely Works well independently and with a team Demonstrates reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail Values safety and quality workmanship Why Join Our Team?
