Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Porter/Maintenance Worker to join our team. This vital role ensures the smooth operation and upkeep of our building interiors, grounds, and essential systems. As a Porter/Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment by performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and custodial tasks. Your proactive approach and technical skills will help create a welcoming space for staff, residents, and visitors alike. Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness around the property and outlying properties. Maintain the landscape on the property and outlying properties. Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building interior systems including electrical equipment, plumbing, HVAC systems, and facilities equipment. Conduct repairs using hand tools if necessary. Carry out painting projects—including residential painting and maintenance painting—to keep interior spaces fresh and appealing. Assist with carpentry tasks such as repairs or modifications to building interiors or fixtures. Maintain cleanliness of work areas after completing repairs or maintenance tasks to uphold safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by addressing requests promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles. Ability to operate hand tools. Basic carpentry skills including drywall repair, painting (residential or maintenance), and fixture installation or modification. Excellent communication skills to coordinate tasks effectively within a team or with vendors. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
