Job Description

General:
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will maintain and repair increasingly sophisticated automated material handling systems, production machinery and facility equipment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Maintain and troubleshoot all equipment, and facility activities for optimum operation of plant requirements. 2. Ensure optimum up-time of all production equipment and machinery by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing problems in the most cost efficient and timely manner. 3. Monitor and maintain stock inventory for maintenance. Review stock on a regular basis for adequacy and obsolescence. 4. Responsible for the upkeep of all maintenance equipment and maintenance of facilities. 5. Provides excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers. Communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and customers in an effective and professional manner. 6. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma Experience/Knowledge:
  • Electro and mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with repair of electric drives and motors
  • Experience with repair of hydraulics and/or pneumatics
  • Experience with repair/use of control systems
  • Maintenance Technician performs maintenance, repair, servicing, and upkeep of Knapp machine.
  • Computer skills required. Must be able to comprehend and input data accurately into maintenance work order program.
  • Creative and innovative solutions to the wide variety of problems that may arise with equipment and systems.
He/she must also be capable of evaluating any problem through logical systematic diagnosis, determining the root cause, and then deciding the appropriate resolution.
Physical Requirements:
