POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and service-minded individual to join our Facilities & Grounds team as an Assistant Sexton. In this part-time role (approximately 15 hours per week), you will work alongside the Sexton to keep our buildings, grounds, and cemetery properties clean, safe, and welcoming. This is more than a maintenance job it is a meaningful form of Christian ministry and service. Responsibilities Perform and/or supervise all cleaning of church buildings as directed by the Sexton, including sweeping, dusting, waxing and polishing floors, shampooing carpets, emptying trash receptacles, and washing windows / glass doors. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all interior spaces on a scheduled and as-needed basis. Open and close all facilities at required times as directed. Set up and restore facilities for scheduled worship services, meetings and special events. Perform and/or assist with basic property repairs as directed by the Sexton. Identify and report building deficiencies, safety concerns or maintenance needs to the Sexton for timely remediation.

Pay:

$16.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 per week
