Position Summary The Maintenance Support role is responsible for maintaining, servicing, and conducting minor repairs on buildings and equipment. This position performs a variety of semiskilled duties across plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and plastering disciplines, while supporting maintenance engineers and other team members. The role operates under moderate supervision and requires adherence to all safety guidelines and established procedures. Key Responsibilities Maintain, service, and conduct minor repairs on buildings, facilities, and equipment. Perform a range of semiskilled duties in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and plastering. Assist maintenance technicians and engineers with various maintenance and repair tasks. Inspect equipment and work areas to identify and address maintenance needs. Follow all established safety guidelines, company policies, and procedures. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Report equipment malfunctions or facility issues to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Typically requires 1-3 years of related maintenance or repair experience.
Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and plastering techniques. Ability to safely use a variety of hand and power tools.
Other Skills:
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Work Environment Work is performed in and around company facilities, both indoors and outdoors. May require lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Reports to a supervisor or manager. Works under moderate supervision while gaining or applying full proficiency in assigned tasks. Physical Requirements In this role you maybe be required to stand up to 10 hours per shift and with frequent bending, reaching, and grasping. You will also need to lift, pull or push up to 50 pounds.
