Job Description
Position Summary Pathfinders Youth Camp is seeking a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Maintenance Worker to help care for and maintain our camp property. This role is essential in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for campers and guests. Responsibilities include lawn care, general property upkeep, and completing repairs and maintenance projects across campus. The ideal candidate is hands-on, resourceful, and experienced in general maintenance tasks, with the ability to troubleshoot problems and find practical solutions. Responsibilities Perform regular lawn care and landscaping, including mowing, trimming, weed eating, and general grounds upkeep Complete general repairs and maintenance on camp buildings, cabins, and outdoor structures Repair and maintain wood structures such as decks, porches, fences, and other camp facilities Troubleshoot and complete basic plumbing repairs (leaks, clogged drains, fixture replacement, etc.) Perform minor electrical, painting, and carpentry work as needed Help maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies Identify maintenance needs and communicate larger repair concerns Assist with seasonal property preparation and upkeep Ensure camp grounds remain safe, functional, and presentable Qualifications Experience in general maintenance, property upkeep, or handyman work preferred Working knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, and general repair work Ability to repair and maintain wood structures and facilities Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Comfortable operating lawn care equipment and basic power tools Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical labor in outdoor conditions Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to take initiative Flexible schedule and availability for occasional urgent repairs Preferred Qualities Practical "fix-it" mindset and willingness to figure things out Attention to detail and pride in quality work Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively Appreciation for camp ministry and helping maintain a space where students can grow and thrive
