Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and versatile Roving Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic facilities team. As a roving team member, you will be the go-to professional for on-the-spot troubleshooting and preventative maintenance across diverse locations. Must be HVAC certified. Duties Conduct routine inspections and perform maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters. Perform welding, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and other hands-on repairs to maintain facility aesthetics and functionality. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose automation system faults and implement necessary repairs. Maintain facilities equipment by replacing parts, repairing electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Assist with maintenance painting projects and facilities upkeep to uphold high standards of cleanliness and appearance. Use hand tools and electrical equipment repair techniques to resolve issues efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Support maintenance operations by reading schematics, understanding mechanical drawings, and following detailed work orders. Lead or assist in small team tasks when necessary while maintaining excellent customer service standards for internal clients. Document all maintenance activities accurately in logs and reports for accountability and future reference. Qualifications Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), with a strong background in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC system repair, carpentry, welding, and general facilities maintenance. Knowledge of building interior maintenance practices including painting, drywall repair, flooring upkeep, and fixture installation. Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, PLCs (programmable logic controllers), and electrical equipment repair techniques. Ability to operate hand tools effectively and safely; experience with electrical equipment repair is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience in plumbing system maintenance and repair. Experience working with HVAC systems including troubleshooting HVAC units or systems is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English to clearly report issues or instructions; customer service orientation is a plus. Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals; experience with ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools is preferred.
