Stormwater Maintenance Worker I:

PRIMARY DUTY

Performs entry-level maintenance and repair work necessary to keep the City's drainage facilities, channels, ditches, rights-of-way, inlets, culvert pipes and related assets safe, accessible, and functioning as intended. Work includes vegetation management, mowing, debris removal, minor erosion repair, routine inspection support, equipment operation, and assistance with construction and storm-response activities according to established standards and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent. No experience necessary-entry level position.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED

Must have a Class "C" Texas driver's license with good driving record and be able to obtain a class "A" Texas drivers license within 6 months from hire date.

Stormwater Maintenance Worker II:

PRIMARY DUTY

Performs skilled maintenance, repair, inspection, and equipment operation necessary to keep the City's drainage facilities, channels, ditches, rights-of-way, inlets, culverts, pipes, detention areas, and related assets safe, accessible, and functioning as intended. Performs routine drainage assignments with limited supervision, independently operates assigned vehicles and equipment, identifies maintenance needs and potential drainage problems, performs minor repairs, and assists with more complex drainage construction, rehabilitation, and storm-response activities according to established standards and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year of experience in street, drainage, construction, utility, grounds, or related municipal maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Two (2) years of experience operating trucks, trailers, tractors, loaders, mowing equipment, or similar construction and maintenance equipment is required. Municipal drainage maintenance experience is preferred.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED

Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record. Must possess and maintain a Tanker Endorsement. City approved Work Zone Safety Certificate preferred.

Stormwater Maintenance Worker III:

PRIMARY DUTY

Performs skilled maintenance, repair, inspection, and equipment operation necessary to keep the City's drainage facilities, channels, ditches, rights-of-way, inlets, culverts, pipes, detention areas, and related assets safe, accessible, and functioning as intended. Independently evaluates drainage conditions, determines appropriate routine corrective work, performs complex assignments, interprets plans and grades, estimates materials, and serves as a senior member of drainage maintenance and emergency-response crews. Provides technical direction, task leadership, and training to assigned employees under the direction of a Crew Leader or Supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of three years of experience in street, drainage, construction, utility, grounds, or related municipal maintenance, including at least two years performing drainage maintenance or closely related work; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Minimum of two years of experience operating heavy construction or maintenance equipment such as loaders, tractors, skid-steer loaders, backhoes, excavators, dump trucks, or similar equipment is required.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED

Must possess and maintain a Valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record. Must possess and maintain a Tanker Endorsement. Must possess a City approved Work Zone Safety Certificate. Must complete City-required Excavation and Trenching Safety training.
