Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

Valid teaching certification with an endorsement specific to Teachers for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Previous experience working with students with visual impairments preferred Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Expertise in adaptive technology and Braille instruction Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct instruction tailored to each students needs in both one-on-one and small group settings Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt curriculum and materials for accessibility Provide ongoing assessment and progress monitoring to update goals and instruction Advise on the procurement and use of assistive devices and resources Serve as a resource for staff and families, promoting understanding and advocacy for students needs
