Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Make Ready Technician to join our maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing residential units for occupancy by performing a variety of repair, maintenance, and cosmetic tasks. Your expertise will ensure that each unit meets quality standards, is fully functional, and presents an inviting environment for new residents. Duties Conduct detailed inspections of units to identify repair needs related to facilities equipment, electrical work, plumbing systems, and interior finishes. Execute carpentry tasks such as drywall repair, painting (including residential painting), and minor structural adjustments to improve unit aesthetics. Operate hand tools, electrical equipment, ohmmeters, and other maintenance tools safely and efficiently during repairs. Maintain accurate records of repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed; follow safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to coordinate work schedules and ensure timely completion of make-ready processes while providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders. Requirements Proven experience with maintenance, repair, and operations. Ability to operate hand tools effectively; experience with maintenance painting and carpentry is preferred. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces safely. Ability to work outside in any and all weather types. Must be willing to help in all areas needed including but not limited to, doing grounds, pool, trash outs and hallways.
