Position Summary The Maintenance Helper supports the Maintenance Team in the repair, troubleshooting, installation, and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment throughout the facility. This role plays a key part in helping ensure equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe working environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience and advance within an industrial maintenance career path. Key Responsibilities Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance on plant equipment Assist Maintenance Technicians with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment Dismantle machinery and equipment using hand and power tools to inspect, repair, or replace components Assist with equipment installations, including conduit and wiring projects Complete maintenance work orders, inspections, and preventive maintenance documentation Enter daily work performed into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications Required Skills and Abilities Basic industrial mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools Ability to read and follow written instructions Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Basic computer skills and ability to enter maintenance activities into a CMMS system Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Basic industrial electrical knowledge Experience performing preventive maintenance activities Technical training, trade school education, or maintenance-related certifications are a plus Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Work in a manufacturing and distribution environment Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting Ability to lift and move materials as required Exposure to machinery, dust, noise, and varying temperatures Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including: Safety glasses Hearing protection Respiratory protection when required Why Join Leedo?
