Hide-A-Way Lake Club is looking for an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor who is ready to take on more responsibility, learn new skills, lead by example, and become an important part of our Maintenance Department. This is a hands-on leadership position working directly with the Maintenance Operations Manager. You will help coordinate a maintenance team and a wide variety of projects throughout our private community. You won't be sitting behind a desk all day. You'll be working with employees, contractors, equipment and community facilities, helping identify problems, organize the work and make sure projects are completed correctly. Roads and drainage Lakes and lake facilities Buildings and facilities Parks and recreational areas Vehicles and equipment HVAC, plumbing and electrical maintenance Landscaping and grounds Community amenities Preventative maintenance Construction and improvement projects Every day brings something different, and you'll have the opportunity to develop experience in many different areas of maintenance operations. What You'll Do Working alongside the Maintenance Operations Manager, you will: Help organize and assign daily work to maintenance employees Assist with scheduling employees and maintenance projects Help coordinate projects from start to finish Inspect work and help ensure projects are completed properly Help prioritize maintenance requests Assist with preventative maintenance and work-order programs Help coordinate contractors and vendors Assist with purchasing materials, parts and supplies Track projects, repairs and maintenance activities Help maintain department records Assist with employee training and equipment operation Help enforce safe work practices Operate maintenance vehicles, tools and equipment when needed Work alongside the maintenance team on larger projects Help troubleshoot maintenance problems and determine appropriate solutions Assist with department planning and improvement projects Assume additional supervisory responsibilities when needed The Person We're Looking For We're not looking for someone who simply wants a job. You may be a great fit if you: Have experience in maintenance, construction, facilities, property maintenance, public works or a related field Have experience leading a crew or working in a lead position Are mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools and equipment Can look at a problem and figure out how to solve it Are organized and can keep track of multiple projects Communicate well with employees, contractors and management Take pride in doing quality work Are dependable and willing to take ownership of your responsibilities Are comfortable working outdoors and in different environments Enjoy learning new skills Are willing to jump in and help when the team needs you Previous supervisory experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who demonstrates strong leadership potential and a good work ethic.
