Job Description
General maintenance duties for an assisted living facility: Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment. Handles necessary repairs and maintenance. Installs equipment and appliances. Follows local and state building codes. Complies with all company safety regulations. Keeps a maintenance log. Reports any issues to the facility manager. Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion. Maintains clean and organized maintenance supply room. Follows written and verbal instructions from the facility manager or staff. Collaborates with contracted HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing businesses as needed. Reads and follows manuals, and other written instructions. Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools. Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds. Any other duties as assigned by the Facility Manager.
