Major/Essential Functions Perform plumbing duties as directed by the supervisor. Provide supervision over maintenance staff during athletic events. Perform custodial duties at all athletic facilities. Prepare competition fields, stadiums, and athletic facilities for Big 12 and NCAA events. Communicate with athletic coaching staff and support staff for all sports. Perform painting preparation and painting duties. Provide manual labor for various jobs in the Athletics Department, including but not limited to: 1) Repairs and maintenance; 2) Grounds maintenance; 3) Moving equipment. Provide facility supervision for special events and practices at all athletic facilities. Valid Driver's License. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Performs other duties as required. Comply with all NCAA, Big 12, and Texas Tech University rules, regulations, and policies. Required Qualifications Two years work experience is required. This positions requires eligibility to drive TTU vehicles, including a valid U.S. driver license and two years of driving experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience in athletic facilities. Experience with painting and surface preparation. Knowledge of commonplace custodial practices. Mechanical knowledge Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently. Ability to work in challenging conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme heat.
