Job Description

Job Summary:
Will receive hands-on training to develop skills and knowledge to maintain and support Production and Facility equipment within a dietary supplement manufacturing facility. Through this training, will ensure facility support equipment and all manufacturing equipment is maintained and running according to need and vendor specifications. Will be trained to perform preventive maintenance on all production and facility equipment. Fill out required PM and Equipment maintenance logs as needed. Report ideas, issues, and critical information to appropriate support groups and/or peers, as well as the Maintenance /Facilities Manager.
Job Functions :
All staff members will fulfill the following responsibilities at an acceptable level of performance: Monitor, maintain, and service facility infrastructure, support equipment, and manufacturing equipment. Ensure steps outlined within company SOP's, work instructions, and cGMP procedures and documents are followed and completed daily. Perform preventative maintenance on all production and facility equipment as assigned. Assist with machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, etc. Ensure equipment maintenance schedules are followed. Responsible for ongoing continuous improvement in area of responsibility. Participate in production area performance by contributing from a maintenance and support role. Ensure safety procedures are in place and being followed. Communicate appropriately to the prudent party as issues arise, and/or critical information is discovered. Assist in maintaining inventory and use of facility tools, spare parts, and other resources intended to service the facility. Assist with facility repairs or maintenance needs All other duties that may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Mechanical experience/background (0-2 years' experience) Must be result-driven and work with a sense of urgency. Must be capable of dealing with difficult situations from an operational as well as peer standpoint. Must have a good understanding of OSHA General Industry regulations. Must be able to lift 70 lbs. Experience with Redzone OEE system a plus Must be able to stand, sit, kneel, or lie in awkward positions for extended periods of time. Must be able to read, write, and execute documentation in English (bilingual is a plus). Must be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision. Must have the ability to come in early and/or stay late on occasion with short notice. Must have an excellent mechanical aptitude with a desire to work hands-on. Experience within a manufacturing or dietary supplement environment is a plus
Skills:
Must be safety-oriented with a good understanding of safe workplace practices. Must have an understanding of GMP's within a food or dietary supplement environment. Must have strong math and reading skills as well as good communication skills. Must be a team player, self-motivated, and dependable. Must be very detail-oriented, have good organizational skills, and have the ability to work under stringent time restraints. Must have good communication qualities with the ability to hold complex and difficult discussions at times. Must be able to troubleshoot manufacturing processes as well as manufacturing equipment. Must be able to use a wide variety of hand and power tools effectively. Must have a strong mechanical aptitude with very good troubleshooting and repair skills.
