About us: Mukogawa University is a Japanese college located in the city of Nishinomiya, Japan. Job Title:
Roads and Ground Maintenance Reports to:
Facilities Director Duties:
  • Assist in the maintenance of the campus grounds and roadways.
  • Assist in the replacement and placement of campus trees and flowers.
  • Help with the planting, trimming, and pruning of the shrubbery.
  • Will operate self-propelled mowers, weed whackers, blowers and golf carts quite routinely.
  • Assist with cleaning streets and walks.
  • Provide support to the Greenhouse staff.
  • Clean inside and outside of company fleet vehicles.
  • Assist other employees in the gathering of all refuse from campus facilities on a weekly basis.
  • Perform janitorial services on a continual basis in and around the Maintenance facility.
  • Assist and support all other grounds and Maintenance staff.
  • Assist with snow and ice removal on sidewalks and streets
  • Painting projects around the campus as needed
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience:
Prior experience working in grounds and maintenance is desirable but not required. A valid Washington State Driver's License is required.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a few concrete variables in situations where standardization exists. Ability to listen to and apply instructions. Ability to request guidance as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Some lifting and carrying of items of not more than 50 pounds. May be required to climb ladders and other structures as part of an installation process or troubleshooting or maintenance activities. Pulling, kneeling and twisting may be required for short periods of time.

$17.13 per hour Expected hours: 24.5 - 27.5 per week
