Job Overview We are seeking a dependable and proactive Driver and Maintenance Assistant to support our facility's transportation needs and maintenance operations. The successful candidate will ensure safe transportation for residents and staff while assisting with general maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of our community. This paid position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the well-being of our residents and the smooth operation of our facility. Duties Safely operate various vehicles including buses, vans, or cars for transporting residents, staff, and supplies within the community and to external appointments. Assist with routine vehicle inspections, basic mechanical repairs, and maintenance to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition. Support facility maintenance tasks such as cleaning, minor repairs, and safety checks to maintain a clean and hazard-free environment. Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and visitors to coordinate transportation schedules and address any special needs or requests. Follow all safety protocols related to driving, vehicle operation, and maintenance procedures. Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating professionalism, patience, and compassion when working with residents of diverse backgrounds. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in bus or commercial driving preferred. Knowledge of basic mechanical skills for vehicle maintenance. Strong communication skills. Ability to work independently while following safety guidelines and protocols diligently. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
