Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Public Works Worker to support the maintenance and operation of municipal infrastructure. This role involves outdoor work across various public facilities, including streets, parks, and buildings. The ideal candidate will have outdoor work experience, a strong commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to operate hand and power tools. This position plays a vital role in highway maintenance, snowplowing, janitorial duties, and park upkeep, contributing to the safety and cleanliness of our community. Duties Perform highway maintenance tasks such as pothole repair, signage installation, and general roadway upkeep. Conduct snowplowing of streets and parking lots during winter months to ensure safe travel conditions. Maintain parks by landscaping, trash removal, and general groundskeeping activities. Assist with janitorial and building maintenance tasks to keep public facilities clean and functional. Operate hand tools and power tools safely for various maintenance projects. Follow all safety protocols diligently to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues during outdoor work activities. Work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed to meet community needs. Skills Prior outdoor work experience is essential, particularly in highway maintenance, snowplowing, park maintenance, or building upkeep. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely. Knowledge of safety procedures related to outdoor maintenance work. Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions. Flexibility to work irregular hours including weekends, evenings, holidays, and on-call shifts. Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining public spaces. Pay:

$23.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week
