Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and dependable Maintenance Technician Helper to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will assist experienced maintenance technicians in performing a variety of repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance tasks across our facilities. Your energetic approach and willingness to learn will contribute to maintaining safe, efficient, and well-functioning environments. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills in industrial machines, systems while supporting the overall upkeep of our operations. Second shift, M-F 2:30 PM - 11 PM, must be flexible regarding schedule changes or working OT. Responsibilities Support maintenance technicians in performing routine inspections and repairs of mechanical, electrical, systems. Assist with troubleshooting issues using schematics, technical manuals, and tools such as ohmmeters. Help with basic fabrication projects to repair or modify equipment and structures. Participate in facilities maintenance activities Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and update records accurately. Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Support the supervision of junior team members or apprentices when required, demonstrating leadership qualities and a customer service mindset. Qualifications Basic electrical experience with an understanding of schematics and electrical components. Mechanical knowledge including familiarity with mechanical systems and tools. Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is advantageous for troubleshooting automated systems. Strong communication skills in English for effective teamwork and documentation. Experience with facilities maintenance in manufacturing or similar environments is preferred. Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience is beneficial for supporting team coordination. Ability to use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting.
