A Maintenance Helper or Assistant assists maintenance mechanics. Repairs and maintains equipment and machines, such as cars or heating systems. May assemble or adjust machines as directed by a head mechanic.

Light Maintenance - Three Days per week This role will be responsible for repairs including, but not limited to: General Repairs & Interior Upkeep Patch and repair minor drywall damage, holes, and wall crevices. Touch up interior and exterior paint. Assemble and install office furniture, shelving, blinds, and artwork. Fix or replace basic hardware Perform carpet shampooing, deep cleaning, and spot treatments as needed to maintain flooring appearance.
Automotive:
Taking one shift, ensure the Leavitt fleet is clean and/detailed for operational use. Light Plumbing & Electrical Clear minor blockages Replace light bulbs and old HVAC air filters. Identify and repair simple leaks in faucets, flush valves, and exposed piping. Swap out minor fixtures like standard wall outlets, light switches, and basic faceplates. Light Grounds & Exterior Maintenance Clear debris and litter from walkways, parking areas, and main facility entrances. Perform basic landscaping tasks including minor trimming, weeding, and seasonal sweeping. Execute urgent safety tasks such as salting walkways or shoveling light snow accumulation. Operations & Reporting Work with OSHA Coordinator when conducting routine walk-throughs to proactively identify facility safety issues or damage. Escalate major issues requiring licensed tradespeople (HVAC, structural, or heavy electrical) to management. General inventory of basic company supplies, tools, and/or hardware materials. Transfers - Two to Three Nights per week Serving as the first touch of our funeral home, this position is responsible for providing professional and respectful transportation of the deceased to our facilities in a timely manner. Through training, understanding the terminology and processes involved in funeral arrangements: Communicate accurately all information from care facilities, families, and other medical staff to funeral home personnel. Ensure that all required paperwork is completed timely and accurately. Maintain a caring and compassionate demeanor. Job Requirements Must have a valid driver's license Clean driving record Strong verbal communication skills Must have all medical vaccinations up to date and provide documentation Maintain attention to detail Qualifications & Skills Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in property maintenance or handywork. Familiarity with standard hand and power tools Sharp aptitude for troubleshooting minor cosmetic and mechanical problems. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders safely throughout the workday. Capable of managing physical work both indoors and in varying outdoor weather conditions. Maintain physical agility to lift 225 lbs. with assistance Maintain physical agility to lift 125 lbs. without assistance Able to pass pre-employment drug screening Maintain a professional appearance at all times Live within a 30 minute response time to our facility in
