Foley, Fairhope, Spanish Fort, AL About the Position Alabama Poolworks is seeking an experienced, motivated, and dependable Pool Service & Project Manager to oversee our growing residential and commercial pool service, renovation, repair, and new construction operations. This is a hands-on management and project-management position responsible for overseeing service technicians, while also managing residential and commercial pool renovation and new-build projects from the initial customer consultation and quote through project completion. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, organizational, estimating, project-management, and customer-service skills, along with a strong understanding of swimming pools, pool equipment, construction, renovations, water chemistry, and troubleshooting. The Service & Project Manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities, meeting with customers, developing scopes of work, preparing quotes and proposals, coordinating employees and subcontractors, scheduling projects, monitoring job progress, and ensuring projects are completed properly, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Pool Service & Project Management Manage and oversee daily operations of the residential and commercial pool service department. Schedule and coordinate residential and commercial service routes. Manage, train, and hold service technicians accountable for quality, productivity, safety, and customer service. Monitor service routes and technician performance. Assist technicians with difficult service calls, repairs, equipment issues, and customer concerns. Communicate with customers regarding pool conditions, maintenance needs, repairs, and recommendations. Ensure technicians properly document work performed, chemicals used, equipment issues, and recommended repairs. Monitor chemical, parts, and equipment inventory. Help develop efficient service routes and procedures. Address customer complaints and resolve service issues professionally and promptly. Pool Renovation & Repair Projects Manage residential and commercial pool renovation and repair projects from initial consultation through completion. Meet with customers and evaluate existing pools and equipment. Determine the scope of work required for renovations, repairs, equipment upgrades, resurfacing, plumbing, tile, coping, decking, lighting, automation, and other improvements. Develop detailed scopes of work and project proposals. Prepare accurate quotes and estimates for renovation and repair projects. Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and vendors. Schedule projects and coordinate work between Alabama Poolworks employees and outside contractors. Monitor project progress, quality, schedule, and costs. Conduct job-site inspections throughout the project. Communicate project updates with customers. Identify unforeseen conditions and communicate change orders when additional work is required. Ensure completed renovation projects meet Alabama Poolworks quality standards. Perform final project walkthroughs with customers. New Pool Construction Manage residential and commercial new pool construction projects from initial consultation and estimating through completion. Meet with potential customers to discuss pool designs, features, equipment, finishes, and project requirements. Review plans, drawings, site conditions, and project specifications. Develop scopes of work and detailed project proposals. Prepare estimates and quotes for new pool construction. Coordinate excavation, steel, plumbing, electrical, gunite/shotcrete, tile, coping, plaster/finishes, decking, equipment installation, landscaping, and other project components. Coordinate schedules between Alabama Poolworks crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers. Monitor project budgets, materials, labor, and overall profitability. Conduct regular job-site inspections. Identify construction issues before they become larger problems. Communicate project status and schedule changes to customers. Manage change orders and additional work. Perform final inspections and customer walkthroughs. Estimating & Sales Generate quotes and proposals Pool renovations Pool resurfacing Plumbing repairs Leak-related work Commercial pool projects Residential pool projects New pool construction Pool features and upgrades Other pool and spa-related work Visit job sites to evaluate project requirements. Develop accurate material and labor estimates. Work with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing. Review project costs and maintain appropriate margins. Follow up with customers on proposals and estimates. Identify additional opportunities during service calls and project visits. Help grow Alabama Poolworks' residential and commercial customer base. Leadership & Operations Lead and manage service technicians and project personnel. Hold employees accountable for quality, productivity, attendance, safety, and customer service. Conduct regular team meetings and training. Ensure company vehicles, tools, equipment, and job sites are properly maintained. Enforce company safety procedures. Coordinate purchasing and material deliveries. Maintain communication between the office, service department, construction crews, vendors, subcontractors, and customers. Help establish processes that improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Work closely with company ownership and management on department goals and business growth. Qualifications Previous experience in the swimming pool industry strongly preferred. Previous management or supervisory experience preferred. Experience managing construction, renovation, or service projects preferred. Strong knowledge of pool equipment, maintenance, and water chemistry. Knowledge of pumps, filters, heaters, salt systems, automation, plumbing, electrical systems, and pool construction. Experience preparing estimates, quotes, and proposals. Ability to read and understand pool plans, drawings, and project specifications. Strong project-management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong computer and technology skills. Ability to use smartphones, tablets, email, scheduling software, estimating software, and other business technology. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Must be dependable, professional, organized, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities. What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the entire project or service operation , from the initial customer interaction to the final completed job. The right candidate will not simply manage employees. They will be expected to identify problems, develop solutions, create quotes, sell the work, coordinate the job, manage the customer relationship, and make sure the work gets completed correctly. This position requires someone who can move between the office and the field and effectively manage everything from a routine residential service call to a large commercial pool renovation or new pool construction project. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors for extended periods. Ability to work in hot and humid weather conditions. Ability to walk and inspect active construction sites. Ability to bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work around pool equipment. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when necessary. Ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment. Pay:

$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
