Maintenance and Landscape Supervisor Sunland RV Resorts - 4.1 La Mesa, CA Job Details Full-time $23 - $25 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Professional development assistance Safety equipment provided Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Operations management Equipment repair Outdoor work experience Company vehicle operation Driver's License Guest services Full Job Description Landscape & General Maintenance Supervisor Position Summary Sunland RV Resorts is seeking an experienced, hands-on Landscape & General Maintenance Supervisor to lead the daily operation of our landscape and grounds maintenance program while assisting with the overall maintenance of the resort. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring the resort consistently presents a clean, safe, attractive, and well-maintained appearance for our guests and residents. The successful candidate will supervise maintenance team members, coordinate daily work assignments, maintain irrigation systems, oversee landscape improvements, and assist with general facilities maintenance while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and exceptional guest service.
Requirement:
Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record. Company vehicles are used throughout the resort. Primary Responsibilities Leadership & Supervision Supervise and lead our 6 member landscape, general maintenance and housekeeping team members. Assign daily work orders and prioritize projects based on operational needs. Train, coach, and evaluate maintenance team members. Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety standards. Maintain equipment, vehicle, and tool accountability. Landscape & Grounds Management Oversee all mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, weed control, and general landscape maintenance. Coordinate seasonal planting programs to enhance the resort's appearance. Monitor turf health, trees, shrubs, flowers, and common area landscaping. Apply fertilizers, soil amendments, mulch, and other landscape materials. Maintain resort cleanliness by removing debris, leaves, and litter throughout the property. Ensure all guest areas and RV sites consistently meet Sunland RV Resort appearance standards. Irrigation Systems Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PVC irrigation systems. Adjust irrigation schedules for seasonal weather conditions and water conservation. Repair sprinkler heads, valves, pipe breaks, timers, and controllers. Monitor water usage and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. General Maintenance Perform and supervise light building maintenance including painting, pressure washing, carpentry, and minor plumbing and electrical repairs. Assist with preventive maintenance throughout the resort. Coordinate repairs of fences, benches, signage, picnic areas, and outdoor amenities. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs. Pool & Recreation Areas Oversee pool and spa maintenance, including cleaning, vacuuming, water chemistry testing, and equipment inspections. Maintain pool decks and surrounding recreation areas in a safe, clean, and attractive condition. Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations. Equipment Management Operate and maintain commercial landscape equipment including: Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs of maintenance equipment. Resort Operations Support Assist with resort events, property improvement projects, and seasonal initiatives. Support housekeeping operations during staffing shortages. Participate in emergency response activities including storms, utility outages, and other resort emergencies. Preferred Qualifications Minimum three years of landscape or facilities maintenance experience. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. Experience maintaining commercial irrigation systems. General knowledge of turf management, plant health, pruning techniques, and seasonal landscaping. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Ability to operate commercial landscape and maintenance equipment safely. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Ability to work independently while leading a productive maintenance team. Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds or more and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Shift includes Saturday. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional emergency call-outs as operational needs require. Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
