Santa Maria, CA — with weekly travel to Paso Robles, CA Erskine Mowing and More is hiring a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Route Lead to oversee a landscape maintenance crew serving HOA communities and residential properties. We're looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, keeps a crew organized, and communicates clearly with customers and management. Responsibilities Lead and work alongside the crew on assigned HOA and residential maintenance routes. Organize daily tasks, maintain productivity, and ensure each property meets company standards. Perform mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, blowing, weed control, and general landscape cleanup. Inspect completed work and address missed items before leaving each property. Take clear, detailed job notes and upload service updates, photos, and follow-up needs to Jobber. Troubleshoot basic irrigation issues and complete minor repairs. Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on landscaping hand tools and equipment. Report major irrigation, equipment, and property repair needs to management promptly. Identify and document recommended improvements or additional services for management to review. Maintain a professional relationship with homeowners, HOA representatives, and fellow employees. Keep work vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and used safely. Requirements Landscape maintenance experience and the ability to lead a crew. Basic irrigation troubleshooting and repair skills. Ability to perform minor hand tool and equipment repairs. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Willingness and reliable transportation to commute to Santa Maria, CA, and travel to Paso Robles, CA, once per week. Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and good communication skills. Ability to use a smartphone to enter accurate notes and photos in Jobber; prior Jobber experience is a plus. Ability to perform hands-on landscaping work outdoors. Commission Opportunity Potential commission opportunities may be available for recommended additional work that results in an approved sale.
