Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service and Parts Director to lead our automotive service and parts operations with energy, expertise, and a customer-focused mindset. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire service department, including service technicians, parts inventory management, and customer relations. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, boost sales through upselling and effective client communication, and ensure the delivery of exceptional automotive repair and maintenance services. Duties Lead and motivate the service and parts teams to achieve high performance standards while fostering a positive work environment. Oversee daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow management, and quality control of repairs such as brake repair, suspension work, oil changes, tire service, shocks & struts, transmissions, and collision repair. Implement effective upselling strategies to maximize revenue while ensuring customer satisfaction through transparent communication and trust-building. Manage parts inventory levels accurately using estimating software to ensure timely availability of components for repairs. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional client communication, explaining repair needs clearly, and ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded. Monitor department performance metrics; analyze data related to service writing, auto estimating, automotive diagnostics, and overall profitability to identify areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with safety standards and dealership policies; conduct regular training on automotive repair techniques, service writing procedures, and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Requirements Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management or automotive repair leadership. Extensive mechanic experience with knowledge of automotive diagnostics across various systems including transmissions, brakes, suspension components like shocks & struts, oil changes, tire services, and collision repairs. Proficiency in estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Demonstrated ability in upselling services such as oil changes or tire rotations while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to clients. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience as a service technician or in auto service roles. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles as needed. Salary Range :
$168k to $240k
DOE Pay:
$168,000.00 - $240,000.00 per year
