Job Description

Company Overview CC Wellness is a rapidly growing California-based sexual health and wellness company focused on delivering personal care and intimate wellness products in a socially responsible manner through innovation, marketing and manufacturing. Job Overview The Maintenance / Facilities Supervisor is responsible, first and foremost, for the reliability, uptime, and calibration integrity of all production and material-handling equipment supporting Production, Compounding, and Warehouse operations. This role directly supervises a team of mechanics and owns the preventative maintenance (PM) and calibration programs for all automated systems, pneumatic pumps and fillers, compressed air systems, labelers, heat tunnels, conveyors, material-handling equipment, and other production machinery — ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards of reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance. Facilities management (building systems, HVAC, utilities, and site infrastructure) is a secondary responsibility of this role, to be balanced against — and never at the expense of — equipment uptime and production-critical maintenance needs. Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, this individual also manages vendor relationships and serves as the primary maintenance contact during audits and inspections. When facilities work and production-critical equipment needs compete for the same time or resources, equipment uptime takes priority.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Equipment Reliability, Uptime & Preventative Maintenance (Primary Responsibility) Develop and manage the site-wide PM program for all Production, Compounding, and Warehouse equipment. Schedule and execute PM activities for automated equipment, pneumatic fillers and pumps, compressed air systems, labelers, heat tunnels, mixers, and related production machinery. Maintain equipment history logs and work orders in the CMMS. Lead root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Ensure all equipment is maintained in a state of inspection readiness for GMP, FDA, and regulatory audits. Own equipment uptime and reliability as a core KPI — track downtime by asset/line, identify chronic failure points, and drive corrective action plans to continuously improve uptime. Maintain and service warehouse material-handling equipment (conveyors, forklifts, pallet jacks) to the same PM and reliability standard applied to Production and Compounding equipment. Calibration Program (Primary Responsibility) Own and manage the site calibration program for all production instruments, gauges, and measuring devices. Maintain calibration schedules, certificates, and deviation documentation in compliance with cGMP requirements. Coordinate with Quality and external calibration service providers; manage out-of-tolerance events and CAPA activities. Facilities Management (Secondary Responsibility) Oversee site facilities operations (HVAC, utilities, compressed air, electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance) as time allows relative to equipment and production maintenance priorities. Manage environmental monitoring for controlled production areas in coordination with Quality Assurance. Ensure compliance with OSHA, local building codes, and applicable environmental regulations. Coordinate facility improvement projects, equipment installations, and site modifications. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervise mechanics and maintenance technicians; assign work, set priorities, and monitor performance. Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and identify training needs for direct reports. Develop and deliver training on equipment operation, safety procedures, and PM protocols. Ensure team adherence to safety standards, SOPs, and GMP requirements at all times. Vendor & Contractor Management Identify, qualify, and manage approved vendors for equipment service, spare parts, calibration, and facility maintenance. Negotiate service agreements; manage contractor on-site activities to ensure safety and GMP compliance. Track vendor performance and maintain approved vendor documentation per Quality requirements. Cross-Functional & Reporting Partner with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to align maintenance schedules with production plans. Report maintenance KPIs and PM completion rates to the Director of Manufacturing. Serve as primary maintenance/facilities contact during regulatory inspections and internal audits. Support new equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and change control activities with Engineering and Quality. Manage spare parts inventory and procurement planning. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field preferred; equivalent industry experience accepted. 3-5 years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; cGMP (pharmaceutical, cosmetics, OTC, or food & beverage) experience strongly preferred. 1-3 years of supervisory experience managing mechanics or maintenance technicians. Demonstrated experience with PM programs and CMMS software. Hands-on experience with automated production equipment, pneumatic systems, compressed air, fillers, labelers, and heat tunnels. Experience owning a calibration program in a regulated manufacturing environment. Vendor qualification, contract management, and contractor oversight experience required. Familiarity with facilities management including HVAC, utilities, compressed air, and building infrastructure. Technical & Professional Skills Strong working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, and basic electrical (low voltage). Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals. Understanding of
GMP, FDA 21 CFR
Part 111, and OSHA standards. Experience with
IQ/OQ/PQ
equipment qualification protocols is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint); NetSuite/ERP experience preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proactive problem-solver; thrives in a fast-paced, growing manufacturing environment. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as required to perform the essential functions of the position. Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred. Certifications (Preferred) OSHA 10 or 30-hour General Industry Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) HVAC / Refrigeration certification a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is performed primarily on the production/manufacturing floor. Employee will regularly stand, walk, and use hands and arms to operate and inspect equipment. Occasionally required to climb stairs/ladders, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally. Moderate to loud noise levels; PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes required. Temperature may vary. CC Wellness is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
