A well-respected independent living community is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to join its leadership team. Why This Role? Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily maintenance operations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. Manage the appearance and functionality of building exteriors, interiors, walkways, and landscaping. Ensure timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. Perform emergency repairs and address maintenance requests efficiently. Maintain life safety systems and lead regular fire and emergency preparedness drills. Ensure full compliance with safety, health, and building codes. Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized projects. Provide training and supervision to maintenance team members. Oversee vehicle maintenance and transportation-related compliance. Communicate regularly with leadership regarding facility needs and improvements.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in general maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry. Proven leadership skills with the ability to delegate and prioritize tasks. Familiarity with a wide range of maintenance tools and equipment. Strong troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Must meet local health and safety requirements for the role.
