Brighton Transitional Care is a 108-bed rehab facility. We are seeking an energetic and experienced Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor include, but are not limited to:

• Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of supervising maintenance tasks.
• Supervise day to day maintenance functions of assigned personnel.
• Assist in setting maintenance standards.
• Assist in developing procedures for performing daily maintenance tasks.
• Schedule work assignments and prepare work schedules.
• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing maintenance assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
• Ensure that work schedules are followed as closely as practical.
• Interpret department policies and procedures to new maintenance personnel.
• Train assigned personnel in proper techniques of maintenance services, use of equipment, etc.
• Assign personnel to specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
• Ensure that personnel are performing assigned tasks in accordance with established maintenance procedures.
• Ensure that fire protection and prevention programs are maintained by all departments in accordance with the fire and safety polices and procedures.
• Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a safe and attractive manner.
• Assist in maintaining material safety data sheets (MSDSs) for hazardous chemicals in all departments.
• Ensure that containers of hazardous chemicals are properly labeled and stored.
• Ensure that all departments follow established policies governing the use of labels and MSDSs.
• Conduct daily inspections of assigned work areas to assure that cleanliness and sanitary conditions are maintained.
• Ensure an adequate supply of maintenance supplies is maintained to perform daily tasks.
• Monitor maintenance procedures to ensure that supplies are used in an efficient manner.
• Label or tag equipment that is not safe for use.

Prior experience in Maintenance or contracting is highly preferred.
