Maintenance Supervisor - Distribution Center Join Our Team We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations within a fast-paced food distribution center. This position is ideal for a dependable leader who can keep equipment and facilities operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support the maintenance team across all shifts. Schedule and assign preventive maintenance, repairs, and facility projects. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, conveyor, dock, and material-handling equipment issues. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and operational emergencies. Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule. Monitor work orders and ensure repairs are completed safely and on time. Inspect equipment, building systems, docks, doors, lighting, and common areas. Coordinate repairs with outside contractors and service providers. Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and repair records. Monitor parts, tools, and supply inventory. Assist with equipment installation and facility-improvement projects. Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies. Train employees on safe work practices and proper equipment use. Partner with warehouse leadership to reduce downtime and improve efficiency. Review employee timecards and coordinate schedules, breaks, and time-off requests. Coach employees, complete performance evaluations, and address performance concerns. Complete additional duties as assigned by facility leadership. Qualifications Previous maintenance experience in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing facility, or similar environment. At least two years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Experience working with conveyors, dock equipment, pallet jacks, forklifts, and building systems is preferred. Refrigeration or cold-storage maintenance experience is a plus. Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and work-order systems. Familiarity with OSHA standards and lockout/tagout procedures. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and maintenance tracking systems. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during urgent situations. Flexible availability to support different shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergencies as needed. Why Join Us?
