$25.00-$28.00 +OT Position Summary:
Support team for aggregate and crushing operations during emergency repairs and preventative maintenance. This team member will coordinate daily with the plant manager on repairs needed and develop a priority list of tasks to be performed. Present important findings and future repairs that need to be scheduled to the plant manager. Help maintain inventory control, this includes documentation of parts distribution and needed inventory. Communicate with plant operators on needed repairs and report to plant manager so a schedule can be compiled.Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure safety, this position has the most exposure to plant personnel. Be the eyes and ears and promote safety.
- Emergency support team, on call as needed for plant repairs.
- Change crusher blow bars and wear plates.
- Winter maintenance support team member, perform needed repairs with thorough analysis and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Parts inventory management, keep detailed records of depletion and needed inventory. Reporting this information to plant manager and assistant production manager
- Present process improvements to management team. Document failure findings through root cause analysis and suggest any improvements to extend life or decrease failure rate.
- Organize and rebuild bone yard equipment for future use. This includes and not limited to the testing and rebuilding of motors, gearboxes, pulleys, and bearings.
- Fabrication of chutes, liners, and feed bins
- Mentor fellow employees to help enrich their knowledge within their working environment. Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- HS or equivalent Preferred Ability/Knowledge
- 2+ years with a maintenance background in aggregate and crushing plants.
- Trade school or technical certifications a plus
- Welding and fabricating
- Forklift and small truck crane operation experience
- Familiar with belting, gearboxes, motors, bearings, shafts. General knowledge of how aggregate and crushing plants work
