Full Job Description Description:
The Maintenance Manager for the Northeast is responsible for planning, organizing controlling and scheduling the maintenance of equipment, machines and providing direction and training to maintenance staff for the CT and NH facilities. Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs, troubleshooting machinery malfunctions, and assist in the planning of equipment rearrangements. Responsible for all purchasing activities.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Department Supervision Daily presence on plant floor Perform annual performance reviews of Maintenance Supervisors Develop and execute annual training / development plan Supervise the application of the Company Sponsored Apprenticeship Program to ensure Apprentices get opportunities to move through their OJT requirements and are assigned with qualified Journeymen for their OJT. Make semi-annual assessments of apprenticeship progress Purchase all required items at best cost to maintain operation of facility Track and maintain inventory of critical and long lead time items Corporate facilities manager Planning Communicate daily schedule of maintenance activities Maintain long term down-day schedule Attend daily production meeting Prepare annual and project budgets Schedule purchases associated with projects / daily production Establish and maintain efficient spare parts supply inventory and bench stock Develop plans for new equipment installation in consultation with the Plant General Manager Safety / Environmental Provide plant leadership in enforcing policies and procedures. Serve on committees Perform scheduled internal audits Address daily concerns Perform / train personnel on risk assessment Participate in

audits Maintenance Systems Manage assignment of equipment champions / workload distribution Maintain preventive maintenance system Develop predictive maintenance metrics Maintain spare parts inventory Continual Improvement Utilize and failure analysis / corrective actions on production downtime, safety concerns, etc. Analyze month end metrics Develop annual improvement plans on established metrics

Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS / ABILITIES
Ability to plan and manage a complete maintenance program for a heat treating operation, interpret electrical blueprints and schematics, design and draw electrical control and motor circuits, have working knowledge of programmable logic controllers Through adherence to company policies and procedures, delegation and motivation of personnel, maintain high quality standards and achieve maintenance goals to maximize profit and return on investment Be familiar with and adhere to OSHA, state and federal safety, environmental and other requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires ten years of broad trades training, supervisory ability, and knowledge of related methods and procedures, preferably in the metal processing industry and acquired in a formal apprenticeship program or through equivalent extensive on the job training and experience Trades experience in hydraulics, welding, plumbing, electrical, machine repair, rigging and preventive/predictive maintenance required A working knowledge of air compressors, electric motors and associated auxiliary equipment is necessary to furnish uninterrupted flow of power and lighting Must have proficient computer skills Please note: the CT facility is moving to Windsor Locks, CT in the near future.
