Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Machinery)
Pay :
$32-$36/hour + overtime

About the Role As an Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you'll keep plant machinery and mechanical systems running safely and efficiently. You'll troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, rebuild equipment, and support installation/alignment of new machinery. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot equipment failures and maintain plant mechanical systems, including: Material handling systems Crushing, screening, pneumatic, hydraulic, pumping systems Equipment rebuilds and preventive/routine maintenance Dismantle machinery to repair/replace defective parts; reassemble and test equipment Inspect drives, motors, belts; check fluid levels; replace filters; follow PM checklists Perform basic electrical troubleshooting/repair on production equipment (including 480VAC 3-phase and 240VAC 3-phase motor control circuits) Fabricate/repair guards, chutes, supports, and machine components (welding/cutting torch as needed) Assemble, install, and repair wiring, electrical/electronic components, pipe systems/plumbing, machinery, and equipment Use hand/power tools and precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.) Read and use blueprints, schematics, manuals, and parts catalogs to plan repairs Record maintenance and repair work performed and estimate repair costs when needed Order parts, supplies, and equipment (or obtain from storerooms) Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED 3+ years experience in electro-mechanical repair (or equivalent hands-on experience) Experience with conveyors, belt drives, and belt replacement Ability to perform hands-on mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting Basic computer skills Preferred Qualifications Technical certifications in welding, pipe fitting, and/or general motor repair Experience with preventive maintenance software Forklift maintenance experience (preferred) Safety & Physical Requirements (Summary) Ability to work safely in an industrial environment and wear required PPE (hardhat, steel-toe boots, eye protection, etc.) Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and perform physical work (lifting, climbing, bending, reaching as required)
