Life:
The General Manager Maintenance Mobility oversees all activity within the US to include the process and activities of the Maintenance staff as well as overseeing all vehicle repairs for all Hertz Mobility Business Segments. To do this the General Manager Maintenance - Mobility will work closely with Maintenance GMs, Region staff and Location management to achieve successful utilization of fleet and optimal Out of Service results (OOS). The chosen candidate will have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage direct reporting relationships as well as collaborate and influence operational leaders. This role will not only set the strategy aligned with the goals of the TechOps and Mobility teams, but also drive the field execution, escalations and develop standardized practices. The starting salary Range for this role is $125k/yr; commensurate with experience.
Key-result areas:
  • Strategic Responsibilities
  • Own national maintenance strategy, long-range planning coordination and development, stakeholder alignment, and lifecycle optimization.
  • Analytical Responsibilities
  • Use data, KPIs, dashboards, OOS trends, cost analysis, and root-cause analysis to guide decisions.
  • Tactical Responsibilities
  • Drive execution through field routines, action plans, escalations, process standardization, and accountability.
  • Translating the TechOps and Mobility business objectives into executable maintenance plans improving fleet availability, cost performance, and customer experience.
  • Developing targets for vendor performance, repair cycle times, cost-per-unit and predictive maintenance procedures
  • Ensure timely and quality mechanical and body damage repairs of vehicles during their Lifecycle
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Procurement, Fleet, and Asset Management to optimize lifecycle cost, vehicle readiness, and capital deployment decisions
  • Minimizing all cost related to vehicle maintenance and service while ensuring the highest quality at the most efficient costs/revenue to the company
  • Provide executive-level reporting and insights on performance trends, operational risks, and strategic opportunities.
Collaborate with Operations to drive peak utilization in all areas
Educational Background:
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience
Professional Experience:
  • 7+ Years of Fleet Management or Maintenance Management experience
  • 3+ Years prior management
  • Operations experience in a similar industry is necessary
  • Previous experience managing and developing teams
  • Understanding of vehicles and of them
