Facility Maintenance Manager Bradford Marine - 4.1 Fort Lauderdale, FL Job Details Full-time $80,000 - $90,000 a year 2 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Managerial strategic planning Full Job Description Job Summary The Facility Maintenance Manager leads and supervises a team of employees, providing guidance, training, and performance management to maintain a high-functioning department. The Manager is also responsible for the department's administrative functions, including budgeting, scheduling, and inventory management. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and organizational skills to drive efficiency and uphold operational excellence. Key Job Responsibilities Plan, organize, and execute department goals while effectively managing labor utilization Develop and manage work schedules and assignments based on business needs Ensure all work is completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards Ensure all work complies with established plans, specifications, schedules, and safety requirements Maintain accurate operational data for ongoing projects, including time, production, and cost Document daily work activities in Salesforce Coordinate requisition of materials, supplies, equipment, and repair services Monitor material usage and support cost control initiatives Maintain inventory of shop supplies, tools, and equipment Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and safe Inspect materials, products, and equipment to identify defects or malfunctions Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program for department tools and equipment Clearly communicate expectations and provide consistent direction to team members Promote open communication and ensure information is shared effectively Support employee development through coaching, mentoring, and training opportunities Train and onboard new employees on equipment, procedures, and company guidelines Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment Identify and implement improvements to enhance quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures Plan effectively toward long-term goals and adjust priorities based on business needs Generate ideas and initiatives to improve operational efficiency Ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory safety standards Enforce proper use of equipment, PPE, and adherence to safety protocols Promote a culture of safety and accountability within the department Assess staffing needs, identify gaps, and partner with Human Resources on recruiting and hiring Address employee performance issues and ensure accountability through the disciplinary process Partner with Human Resources on all employee-related matters to ensure compliance and consistency Participate in succession planning to identify and develop future leaders Communicate effectively with management, employees, vendors, contractors, and customers Serve as a point of contact to address inquiries and support internal and external stakeholders Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making while proactively resolving conflicts Note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
