Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Building Services Manager at
LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER
is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and functionality of all physical facilities. This role ensures that the environment is safe, efficient, and conducive to the well-being of clients and staff. The Building Services Manager plays a critical role in managing facility operations, coordinating maintenance activities, and implementing safety protocols to support the center's mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure all facilities are well-maintained and operational. Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repair, maintenance, and renovation projects. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and resolve any issues related to building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards. Manage the building services budget, including forecasting costs and monitoring expenditures. Lead and supervise a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures to ensure the safety of all occupants. Collaborate with other departments to support the center's operations and address facility-related needs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance documentation. Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and sustainability improvements within the facilities.
Required Education:
Associates degree or trade school certification required.
Required Experience:
Two (2) years related experience with comprehensive knowledge of Maintenance required.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to develop and implement maintenance strategies and plans. Proficiency in using facilities management software and tools. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in building services.
