Role Overview:

The Fleet Maintenance and Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety compliance, and operational readiness of our fleet of vehicles. This includes managing vehicle repairs, coordinating preventative maintenance schedules, scheduling tank testing, implementing safety programs, giving safety meetings and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. You will work closely with drivers, dispatchers, and management to enhance fleet efficiency and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the fleet maintenance program, ensuring timely repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance. Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations and laws pertaining to fleet operation. Develop and implement safety training programs for drivers and staff. Manage fleet records, including maintenance schedules, safety inspections, and compliance documentation. Lead efforts in reducing vehicle downtime, improving fuel efficiency, and enhancing fleet performance. Troubleshoot fleet issues and manage emergency breakdown responses. Report regularly on fleet performance metrics, maintenance costs, and safety audit results.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience in fleet management, maintenance, and safety compliance. In-depth knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair processes, and safety regulations. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Familiarity with fleet management software and tools. Valid driver's license (CDL Class A or B with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement preferred). Competitive salary and benefits package.
