Job Description

Sun 'N Lake Golf Club , located in Sebring, FL , is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Assistant Golf Course Superintendent ! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon , you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Supervises and trains the foreman, irrigation technician, and other employees in the maintenance department. Prepares weekly schedules for the foreman, irrigation staff, and other employees in the maintenance department. Monitors inventory and use of all maintenance equipment, preventive maintenance schedules, and safety training. Works closely with the Superintendent in managing the annual budget and maintenance recordkeeping. Works closely with the Superintendent in preparing short-term and long-term agronomic strategies for golf course maintenance, including daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly fertilization and irrigation schedules. Calibrates and operates pesticide sprayers. Institutes and implements all Troon Human Resources guidelines. Assists the Superintendent in informing members about present and future maintenance activities. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager. Must be flexible with schedule. Minimum five years of experience required. GCSAA membership required. State pesticide license required. Healthcare Benefits
