Job Description

Job Title Utilities Maintenance Supervisor - Plant 22 Thomson Facility Position Overview Shaw Industries is hiring a Utilities Maintenance Supervisor to direct and supervise the fabrication, modification, installation, startup, and maintenance of plant support equipment including HVAC, boiler, and compressed air systems. Implements capital and expense projects related to improving and repairing plant support equipment.
Responsibilities:
Supervises personnel and is responsible for systems in the following areas: HVAC system, Steam system, compressed air systems, water treatment, and grounds. Coordinates with vendors on contract maintenance performed on equipment. Provides technical input to Plant Engineer and other department managers for modification and/or procurement of equipment. Conducts proficiency training for personnel. Supervises maintenance personnel under immediate jurisdiction to include maintaining attendance records and enforcing positive discipline. Ensures materials and equipment are available to complete maintenance and installation requirements for equipment. Implements Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM). Administers policy in accordance with the Shaw Employee Guide. Administers annual authorized SAFE training requirements (Hoisting & Rigging, Confined Space, Critical Lifts, Hot Work, Fall Protection, Arc Flash, etc). Follow and implement standard work procedures. Comply with procedures found in SMS. Perform all job duties using safe work methods. Comply with Corporate Absenteeism and Tardiness Policy. Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times. Work overtime as required. Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Engineer. Assist other Maintenance personnel as needed.

Must have a high school education or its equivalent. College Degree preferred. Must have at least one (5) year experience in a manufacturing environment or its equivalent. Must possess good interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Preferred:
