This is not another mechanic job. At CD's Lawn Care, the Fleet Manager owns the backbone of the entire operation. Our crews can't mow, plow, or earn a dollar if their equipment doesn't run — and with multiple trucks, trailers, and commercial mowers on the road every day, we need one person who keeps it all ready to work. You'll diagnose and repair equipment with your own hands, but you'll also run the fleet like a business: building the maintenance schedule, tracking assets with GPS, managing parts and vendors, and making the call on when a truck or mower has earned its retirement. What You'll Do Keep the fleet running: Diagnose and repair trucks, commercial mowers, small engines, trailers, and handheld equipment in our dedicated shop Respond to breakdowns in the field — when a crew goes down on a job site, you take the service truck to them and get them back to work Build and run a preventive maintenance program, scheduling service by truck mileage and engine hours so breakdowns don't happen in the first place Run the fleet like a business: Track lifecycle costs and make repair-vs

• replace recommendations — you'll help decide when to retire equipment and help plan new purchases Manage parts inventory so blades, belts, filters, and common wear items are stocked before they're needed Coordinate with dealers and outside shops for specialized repairs, and handle warranty claims Make the whole team better: Train crews on daily equipment checks and proper operation to prevent breakdowns before they happen Keep clean, accurate maintenance and repair records Winter operations: Keep snow equipment ready to roll all season, and join snow removal operations during snow events What We're Looking For Hands-on experience with small engines (mowers, handheld equipment, or similar) — this is the must-have Some vehicle or truck repair experience is a plus, but we will train the right person A self-starter who figures things out, learns on their own, and takes ownership of the work Organized enough to stay on top of maintenance schedules, parts, and records Comfortable with technology — GPS tracking and fleet software (we'll train you on our systems) Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Welding or fabrication skills are a bonus, not a requirement What You Get $23•25/hour depending on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance after 45 days of employment Your own dedicated shop — all tools and equipment provided Company truck during working hours Year-round, full-time stability — no seasonal layoffs; snow operations keep you busy all winter Real variety — trucks, mowers, small engines, trailers, plows; no two days look the same A role with authority — you set the maintenance program, you make the repair-vs•replace calls, and the role grows as the company grows Schedule Full-time, year-round.
