Job Description

Communication Data Link is looking for a Shop Foreman Mechanic. This person is responsible for managing the shop floor, supervising employees, ensuring quality control, providing training to the shop employees, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing the operations of the shop with repairs needed Supervise and manage a team of technicians and mechanics by providing guidance, support and training as needed. Be able to work on all systems; including but not limited to brake, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel systems. Ensure that work is performed in accordance with established procedures and quality standards. Monitor and review the progress of work orders, ensuring that deadlines are met, and any issues or delays are promptly addressed. Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed repairs to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications. Consult with equipment manufacturers as needed to assist with repairing equipment. Maintain complete service records on applicable equipment via the Company's Fleet Management software system. Prepare work orders and cost estimates on all projects that will require the Owner's permission prior to repairing. Communicate diagnoses to management to develop a repair plan and parts acquisition as needed. Stay on top of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices, continuously enhancing your knowledge and skills to improve shop operations. Other duties as assigned.
