Overview We are seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to support the daily operations of our Mobile Home Communities in the Iowa City area. This role is hands-on and ideal for a strong leader with technical expertise in water, sewer, equipment operation, and team coordination. Responsibilities Lead and support maintenance staff; assign and organize daily work schedules Perform and oversee maintenance of water mains, service lines, sewer mains, and laterals Diagnose and repair sewer line issues using jetting machines and sewer snakes Operate equipment including mini excavator, stump grinder, trash pumps, sewer jetter, and lawn care equipment Maintain community grounds, common areas, and entrances Perform snow removal as needed (plow truck operation) Assist with refurbishing and light construction of community-owned homes Read and replace water meters; troubleshoot leaks Maintain accurate maps of utilities, shut-off valves, and infrastructure Ensure all trucks and equipment are clean, organized, and properly maintained Follow all safety and compliance regulations Participate in on-call rotation as needed Requirements 5+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in mobile home communities or residential property maintenance Strong knowledge of sewer systems (mains, laterals, fittings, repairs) Strong knowledge of water systems including polyethylene, copper, galvanized, PVC, and polybutylene piping Experience with compression, barbed, push-to-connect, and threaded fittings Ability to safely operate heavy and specialty equipment Basic electrical knowledge Ability to operate a wide range of power tools Strong time management and leadership skills Basic computer skills Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders Valid driver's license with clean driving record and current auto insurance Ability to work independently with minimal supervision High School Diploma or GED preferred Mobile Home Community experience strongly preferred
