Job Description

Autos of Chicago-Arlington Heights is looking for an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead and grow our expanding Service Department. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow with a fast-paced luxury and high-line dealership environment with strong long-term potential. Our service department is currently focused heavily on internal repair orders and recon operations, with significant opportunity to continue growing customer pay business and increase overall production and profitability.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Oversee all daily operations of the Service Department Setting a clear vision and goals for the Service Department to achieve targeted performance goals. Manage service advisors, technicians, porters, recon staff, and workflow Ensure all pending deal

vehicles are prioritized and completed properly Oversee full recon process from vehicle check-in to front-line ready status Monitor open ROs, labor times, technician productivity, and shop efficiency Coordinate between sales, service, body shop, and inventory departments Ensure vehicles are properly diagnosed, repaired, inspected, and quality checked Manage parts ordering and communication with vendors when needed Keep track of appointment flow and service scheduling Monitor and improve CSI/customer satisfaction Ensure all warranty and internal repair processes are properly documented Review estimates, repair approvals, supplements, and recon expenses Stay on top of aging inventory and delayed repairs Assist in building and growing customer pay business and outside service traffic Ensure shop organization, cleanliness, safety, and professionalism Conduct daily production meetings and staff accountability follow-up Work closely with management regarding department goals, staffing, and profitability
Requirements:
Previous automotive Service Manager experience required Experience with Dealertrack DMS strongly preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience managing technicians and recon operations Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment Strong understanding of automotive repair processes and workflow High accountability and problem-solving ability Luxury/import experience is a plus

$100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
