Maintenance Lead Technician
Location:
Buffalo Grove, IL Pay Rate:
$33.08•$45.49/hour
Schedule:
Monday•Friday, 6:00 AM•2:30 PM
Education Requirements:
Associate degree in a technical field, military technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Requirements:
7+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and automated machinery Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings Proven leadership experience mentoring and developing maintenance technicians Injection molding and auxiliary equipment experience preferred
Job Duties:
Lead and support a team of maintenance technicians Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, actuators, and automated equipment Diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic system issues Perform advanced troubleshooting using electrical schematics and diagnostic tools Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions Minimize downtime through effective maintenance and repair strategies Coordinate maintenance schedules, labor assignments, and work orders Manage spare parts inventory and critical component availability Work with equipment manufacturers and vendors on repairs and technical support Drive continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives Ensure compliance with safety regulations and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
Physical Capabilities:
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Ability to safely perform maintenance and repair activities on industrial equipment Ability to respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations
