Job Description

Operations Manager - Landscape Maintenance, Enhancements & Snow We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the performance of our landscape maintenance, enhancement, and snow & ice divisions. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for developing high-performing teams, maintaining strong client relationships, and driving operational efficiency, quality, and profitability. You will lead supervisors, account managers, and customer service personnel while establishing the systems, processes, and accountability needed to deliver consistent results throughout the year. Key Responsibilities Lead & Develop the Team Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, account managers, and customer service team members. Establish clear expectations, performance standards, and accountability. Conduct regular one-on-ones and team meetings. Hire, onboard, train, and evaluate team members while developing future leaders. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and pride in the work. Develop and implement effective safety procedures and training. Drive Profitability Hold the team accountable for revenue and gross-margin targets. Monitor job and route costing against estimates and identify opportunities to improve margins. Manage labor hours, equipment utilization, and material costs. Partner with sales and estimating teams to ensure work is properly scoped and priced. Manage a personal book of accounts, including client relationships, upselling, prospecting, and retention. Manage Landscape Maintenance & Enhancements Oversee routing, scheduling, production, and quality control across maintenance accounts. Ensure properties are serviced consistently, efficiently, and according to company standards. Identify enhancement and upselling opportunities and ensure quotes are generated and followed up on. Monitor client satisfaction and work with account management and customer service teams to maintain strong client relationships. Address operational issues quickly and effectively. Lead Snow & Ice Operations Take ownership of seasonal snow and ice operations, including planning, staffing, routing, equipment readiness, and storm execution. Manage on-call schedules, subcontractors, materials, and equipment. Coordinate 24/7 storm-event operations when necessary. Ensure accurate documentation, site logs, and billing for snow events. Deliver safe, reliable, and profitable snow services while protecting client relationships. Manage by the Numbers Track and report key operational and financial metrics. Develop and enforce repeatable processes for maintenance, enhancement, and snow operations. Monitor productivity, labor efficiency, job costing, and profitability. Utilize technology and operational management software to make informed, data-driven decisions. What Success Looks Like Revenue and gross-margin targets are consistently achieved. Supervisors, account managers, and field teams are well-trained, supported, and accountable. Client retention and satisfaction remain strong. Maintenance operations run efficiently and consistently. Enhancement revenue continues to grow year over year. Snow events are executed safely, efficiently, and profitably. Processes are clearly defined and followed across the organization. The operation runs proactively, with minimal day-to-day issues requiring executive intervention.
Pay:
$95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
