This position is responsible for all aspects of plant maintenance coordination, including leading and directing maintenance technicians, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all shipping-related maintenance activities, equipment, and personnel. Foster a well-trained and motivated staff. Assisting the Facilities Manager in directing and coordinating maintenance policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and clean environment. Manage and oversee the preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment. Quickly assess problems to minimize the downtime of production. Must possess knowledge of SQF Quality Management policies and procedures and GMP practices to ensure all maintenance employees understand and follow the company policies and procedures. Description Lead, direct, evaluate, and train a team of 10 or more maintenance technicians. Ensure that all preventive and predictive maintenance is completed on Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and associated equipment, such as conveyors, palletizers, and pallet wrapping equipment, ensuring all equipment operates properly. Measure, monitor, and reduce machine downtime. Diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and electronic (PLC) issues, and provide guidance or assistance with repairs. Promote a "Safety First" culture among staff. Develop and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program for both equipment and the facility. Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Identify and resolve maintenance-related problems to ensure minimal disruption to shipping operations. Ensure that all preventive and predictive maintenance is completed on dock equipment, including dock locks, doors, and dock levelers, ensuring all equipment operates properly. Ensure that all preventive and predictive maintenance is completed on all forklifts and walkie lifts, ensuring all equipment operates properly. Ensure that all refrigeration equipment in the dock area and freezer is operating correctly.
Qualifications:
3+ years of supervisory maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to read schematics and utilize technical manuals. Must have strong working knowledge of other systems such as hydraulic, and pneumatic. Must have strong leadership skills and ability to effectively supervise technicians. Knowledge and ability to use shop equipment such as lathes, mills, drill presses and welding equipment. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation Must be able to successfully pass a post-offer physical and drug screen. Technical degree or 3 years in a related field a plus.Job Type:
