Pay:
$100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year Job description: Overview General Motors dealership, is looking for an experienced and motivated Automotive Service Department Manager to lead our General Motors service operations. This position is responsible for managing daily activities in the service department, driving profitability, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and maintaining full compliance with GM standards and processes. Family oriented and exceptional work environment. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong operational knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing a service department. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee all daily operations of the service department Lead, train, and develop service advisors, technicians, and support staff Ensure compliance with GM policies, warranty procedures, and manufacturer standards Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) including CSI, productivity, efficiency, and profitability Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction Maintain proper scheduling, workflow, and shop capacity planning Control departmental expenses and maximize gross profit Oversee warranty administration and ensure accurate documentation and submissions Collaborate with parts, sales, and management teams to ensure smooth dealership operations Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of automotive service management experience (GM dealership experience strongly preferred) Strong understanding of GM warranty, service processes, and manufacturer programs Proven leadership and team-building skills Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities Ability to analyze service performance metrics Experience with Tekion (DMS) is a valuable asset.
