Maintenance Director Bayside Care Center LP Waukegan, IL Job Details 18 hours ago Qualifications Vendor relationship building Full Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance operations of our residential care facility. This leadership role is vital in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents and staff. If you have a strong background in facility management and a passion for supporting senior living communities, we invite you to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement maintenance policies, procedures, and schedules to ensure the safety and functionality of the facility Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address repairs, safety hazards, and preventative maintenance needs Manage vendor relationships and oversee contracted services for repairs, landscaping, and other maintenance needs Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and health standards Budget and manage maintenance department expenses, including procurement of supplies and equipment Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues to minimize disruption and ensure resident safety
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field, preferably within a healthcare or senior living environment Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities Knowledge of building systems, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety protocols Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and safety regulations Effective communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Relevant certifications or licenses in facilities management or maintenance (preferred) Join our compassionate team committed to providing a high-quality living environment for our residents.
